Eric Prydz’s long-awaited new full length, Pryda, comes out May 21st on Virgin Records. It’s a triple cd release, and I got my hands on the first CD and want to exclusively share with you guys. Few artists have made it as far as Pryda, he is a living legend in the electronic dance music world. It has been announced that there is an album release party set to be had on April 16th 2012 at Ministry of Sound in London. This first CD is most of the new material, as the second and third CD’s are referred to as “Retrospective Mix’s.” When it comes to the goods, Pryda doesn’t falter, he lives up to his legend status and makes every track a masterpiece. I’m including my highlight tracks from the album.

I have been out for a while now and I am glad to come back with some of my favorite type of music, trance. Mike Koglin a long time trance legend released his new track “Varana” a couple a little over a month ago. I’m loving this track filled with Kolglin’s signature style of trance with a bit more. He always takes you through a story with his music, but with this one he adds a ton of energy. Next is a heavy remix by one of my favorite up and coming producers, Chris Schweizer. As usual Chris hits us with something wild and crazy filled with heavy electro drops. Enjoy I will be back with more bangers.

Loving all these collaborations that have been going on recently. Chuckie has paired up with French producer Gregori Klosman to make a great anthem tune that builds into a dirty Dutch-Electro drop. Big fan of the synths they’re using with the light build up into a hard drop that’s not obnoxious but still sounds powerful. Chuckie is due to release his debut album later this summer, so be on the lookout for that as well.

I’m not a huge fan of Trance, but there are always songs that I’ll find that makes me think otherwise. One of these is Mat Zo’s newest track “The Sky.” It’s got a low soothing bass all the way through with Linnea Schossow adding some pipes to the already great track. Mat Zo got a lot of recognition as a diversified artist after he released The Bipolar EP with each song different from the last. Mat Zo will also be opening alongside The M Machine for Porter Robinson’s The Language Tour across the US this summer.

There hasn’t been many releases lately, which probably means we will get flooded with new tunes in the next couple weeks as festival season kicks off. First up is a pretty old remix Kaskade did of Skrillex’s tune “Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites.” It’s a great build up all the way and he adds the right elements to create something original. Next is a remix of Fun.’s “We Are Young.” I know there have been a ton of remixes of this track, but Betatraxx changed up the chord progression completely and still managed the vocals to sound good. The last two have some similar sounds that sound very similar to Mord Fustang. I’ve had “Shade Business” for a while, but my favorite out of the two would definitely be “You Got Me.” Grab ‘em all below:
