I’ve had one too many regrets this weekend, but the largest of all was not having played the new GTA & LA Riots remix to “Video Games” by Lana Del Rey immediately after having acquired the song. Anything that comes from the 26 year old New York native spreads like wildfire, based on the fact that her voice is out of this world. GTA & LA Riots nailed this remix, adding an epic progressive house touch to the slow and deep tone that we see out of Lana’s original. The track has been out there for quite some time, but was finally released as a free download earlier this week on soundcloud.

Maor Levi & Pierce Fulton – Wanna Be
Been meaning to post on this track since it was released on Beatport last Friday. Pierce Fulton is without a doubt one of my favorite producers right now, and he’s really established himself over the past 12 months as someone who’s here to stay. At only 20 years old, he has already developed one of the most unique and diverse sounds in the business with a spectrum of tracks that range from hard-hitting electro to melodic house and indie beats — and his original and club mixes of “Wanna Be” show just how varied his style can be. Teaming up with Maor Levi on this one, the two release a major progressive track with some big room sounds that are sure to light up clubs and festivals all over this summer. Be sure to grab both the original and club mixes on Beatport, and check out Pierce’s Facebook and Soundcloud below.

[Preview] Laidback Luke & Hardwell – Dynamo
A DJ’s main goal at every venue is to electrify and energize the crowd. With two dynamic producers collaborating on this track, shockwaves can be felt when the explosive beat drops. This song was first leaked by Hardwell late 2012 with limited information regarding the track title. However, this high-powered track “Dynamo” will be released on April 22. Enjoy the preview.
Shogun – Drop / Supernova EP
Shogun is one of the producers you have to be proud of. With trance being a predominantly international genre, Shogun has come up the ranks as one of the most successful trance producer from America in the modern era. We have the likes of Gabriel & Dresden, Norin & Rad, and only a couple other within the select few, so it is quite an honor for Shogun to achieve the things he has in such a short time. Regardless of what shows he has headlined and previous works of music, his new two song EP has garnered support indicative of his entire career. The first song “Drop” is currently #2 accompanied by “Supernova” at #4 on the Trance Beatport charts. I confidently foresee Shogun having big things lined up for this summer, and I can’t wait to see what he does. If you haven’t head this EP yet, stop what you are doing and get with it.

Ummet Ozcan – Here & Now (Original Mix)
One track we all knew was going to be a highlight of Ultra was, “The Code”. The collaboration between W&W and Ummet Ozcan took the EDM community by storm sweeping the #1 spot on Beatport and holding it there for over a week. These trance legends aren’t typical to any other genre, except recently we have seen producers like Paul Oakenfold, Gareth Emery, Ashley Wallbridge, Armin Van Buuren and plenty of others experiment with different sounds and genres. Now we have Ummet Ozcan with his new song, “Here & Now”. This song is bananas. It’s easy to hear that Ummet comes from a strict trance background, but then the song continues to progress into the craziest tech/progressive track of the year so far. If you want to get the dance floor jumping, play this song.

Kaskade – No One Knows Who We Are feat. Lights (Tim Mason Remix)
Original or Remix? One could find themselves asking the same question over and over again. With Tim Mason flexing his muscles with this track, the answer should become clearer. Mason’s production style incites fond memories of many past experiences. Good vibes, pool parties in Vegas, and water balloon fights in the summer all come to mind when listening to this song. Enjoy the preview and support Tim Mason by purchasing the Beatport exclusive track.
