Hive’s Honey

Four songs today for yall to check out starting with the latest from Project 46 . “Reasons” brings it with great progressive chords throughout the song. Next is a huge dubstep remix by two of our favorite dubstep producers Dodge & Fuski . They go in real hard over a SKisM song that never stops pumping. The drop will blow your FUSKIng mind. Milo & Otis are next up with an original mix called “Friendly City” which is a nice moombahton song that samples “We Are Your Friends” (one of the greatest songs ever). Finally, I have a remix of a Green Day song which I find myself torn on. I can’t tell if the emo voice from these punk rockers is too much but at the same time I love the melody and the chords used by Hollidayrain . See what you think for yourself. Enjoy.

Two New Oliver Remixes | Don’t Stop | Mr. Overtime

Got two Nu-Disco/Dance tracks from Oliver today. The Foster the People remix of “Don’t Stop” has been out for a little while, but I thought I’d pair it up with the newest remix of Pump Jump Up’s “Mr. Overtime.” Both are great listens for the sunny days that seem to be making their appearance recently. The official release date of “Mr. Overtime” will hit Beatport on April 30th with a slew of other remixes, but this version is good enough for now.

New Trance Thursday | Ben Gold | Myon & Shane 54 | Marlo | More

Brand new trance by some big names and some up and coming artist’s. We have two massive trance jams by Ben Gold & Tritonal and Myon & Shane 54. Long time favorites of mine, I expected to enjoy these the most, but I was more intrigued by the two lesser known. The last two songs might not be true trance, but they are easily my favorites. Also I skipped the middle song as they aren’t well-known and they aren’t a newbie. I posted plenty of MaRLo before so here’s another high quality track.

Marcel Woods – The Bottle/Cherry Blossom (Remixes)

These are big time tunes! So many of my favorite producers included in here you can’t pass this up. To start we have remixes of one of my, if not favorite, Marcel Woods song, “The Bottle”. I didn’t imagine these remixes would be so good. Marcus Schossow gives a crazy high energy trance track giving the original something special. If Marcus Schossow’s goodness wasn’t enough, Ken Loi blesses us with a high energy big room/electro track that mixes with the original’s tech trance elements perfectly. The drop of the original and remixes is something that all high energy songs need to take a lesson from. “Cherry Blossom” isn’t as great but definitely something worth listening to. The best remix is by unknown Setrise, but trance artist, Jonas Stenberg, gives us a decent progressive mix. I hope you enjoy as this is my favorite release so far this week.

Please support!Beatport

The M Machine – Metropolis Pt. I [Album Release]

If you read The Hive then you will know that The M Machine is one of my favorite groups of producers to ever grace this earth. Little is known about The M Machine, originally known as Metropolis, and it wasn’t until they released “Trafalgar” that they caught the eyes of Skrillex, who ended up putting them on his label OWSLA. Since then, they have toured all over the nation making a name for themselves. I was lucky enough to see The M Machine perform one of their first – if not first – shows at EDC in Orlando last summer. And if they are ever near your area, go and see them you will not regret it, now to Metropolis Pt. I.

The first track was premiered in their promo video, which I never thought would get released. Happy to say it is and is one of my favorite tracks on the EP. “Deep Search” is absolutely bonkers; all I can imagine are the crazy looking fish making these sounds at the bottom of the mariana trench. “A King Alone” and “Faces” are pretty similar, in that they are more slow paced with some great vocals; The M Machine labeled it as Indie/Dance, which is the best I could describe it. “Black” is the darkest of them all, but is very powerful. And finally, the song I have listened to the most on the EP, a remix of “Promise Me a Rose Garden”. I feel like they weren’t as creative with their sounds for this last one, but how could you make anything better than the original? Answer: you can’t. Every song offers something different, so no matter what your tastes are, you’re bound to find something that appeals to you. Give it a whirl and if you really like it, show them some support by purchasing it on OWSLA.

The M Machine – Faces

The M Machine have released the first song off of their upcoming EP titled Metropolis Pt. I. This is a nice surprise as their EP is coming out in three days. Faces isn’t a hard hitting song, but it is more like their past track Glow; it’s got a steady beat with some soothing vocals, very different from their other stuff. I was hesitant about it at first, but after a couple more listens it’s grown on me. Give a listen below:
