Feed Me – Trapdoor (Ft. Hadouken)

Feed Me teamed up with English band Hadouken to make “Trapdoor.” This isn’t your typical Feed Me funky song with incredible melody, it still has some melody, but the song focus’ on the build up to the drop. Don’t get me wrong, this song is still great, just not the typical Feed Me track. This is what Feed Me had to say on his Facebook:

Quite aggro this time, but back to funk for the next one. If you argue what genre it is or what channel it should or shouldn’t be on, ____ will ____ your ____.

Skrillex – New Production

Holy moly this is unbelievable and I can’t believe I knew nothing of this till now. Skrillex has a brand new production for his set. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term “production”, it refers to the artists set; their background, lights, dj booth, basically the whole shebang. Ok, Skrillex is the man and we all know it. Some people hate because of his popularity, but this cat is only popular because he is so damn good. I mean honestly for those who don’t truly follow Skrillex, he is the furthest thing from a sellout and cares more about maintaining that image than you even realize. He loves his fans, his music, and his career and that is nothing to hate on. Now back to his production, Skrillex literally just blew me out of the water. Whoever created the set in general wow mad props. Deadmau5, watchout, your prodige is taking over as one of Americas favorite producer and beating you so far this year. Also I think that lil guy behind him is named Cell? And if you watch carefully notice that “Cell” does everything that Skrilly does. SAAAAWWEEEEET!

01.Horsepower- “Horsepower” was conceived as a way of opening. Opening the most “Olympics” as possible. We see it as a brutal piece of disco with one side a little Italian.

02.Civilization – We did not want to start this album so confusing. With “Horsepower” and “Civilization”, we are still in the world of the first album. These are the transmission belts between the two albums.

03.Ohio – a tribute to Crosby, Stills & Nash, so obvious and true that there is not much to add. The singer for Midnight Juggernauts sings this song. . This is the kind of song that will surprise most fans of the first album of Justice. But “Ohio” seems perfectly natural and we are very similar.

04.Canon(interlude) -An intro with some medieval style made with three guitars. One must admit, the word “medieval” was part of the “brief” mental we had done before recording this disc.

05.Canon – It’s called like that because it’s simply to enjoy a canon (adds:like “Pachelbel’s canon”, a line aligned differently each time it returns. A gun guitar, with ranges that overlap, giving a side serial music. Another way too slow to be played in clubs and not enough pop to the delight of radio.

06.On’N’On- Features Morgan Fallon, part of the rock band “Diamond Knight”. A real inspiration for the song.

07.Brianvision – a tribute to guitarist Brian May. originally it was more dance, but was eventually slowed to give it a dimension that touches us more sad. We love the sound of this song, it sums up the whole spirit of the disc.

08.Parade -a slow, but with high intensity. It reminds us of a festival or a banquet. It has a glam pop of the 70s, as often on this album.

09.New Lands – We needed another song with voices at the time of the disc, but something more simple. It is a hinge that takes us to the title probably the most in the album. There is a rapid transition in the middle, almost like a hard rock, but as yet still light. It is very warm in the end, with airy voice.

10.Helix – Canon yet, but more funky than others. This is the one that appeals most to fans of electronics.

11.Audio, Video, Disco – It means “I hear, I see, I learn” in Latin, is the next single. After “civilization” is a great transition: it is more in the spirit of the rest of the disk even if no other way does it actually looks like. It runs to 152 BP, which is pretty fast, while remaining very sensitive. It is also the longest song on the disc, an ideal conclusion to the album and also for our future live-show.

Modestep [Artist]

Modestep creates amazing upbeat bangers. You might’ve heard a couple of their more popular tracks such as “Feel Good” as well as their remix of Cee lo Green’s “Fuck You,” the songs are exactly what their titles make them out to be…feel good songs. I really like their powerful vocals in “Feel Good” and “To the Stars,” they help to build up the drop. Skrillex’s growing influence over the EDM community continues to progress as artists like Break the Noize and The Autobots adopt some of the same synths used in many of Skrillex’s tracks, as in their remix of “To the Stars”.

Redstep (Steve Aoki Remix) – Bassnectar (Preview) [Dim Mak]

Dim Mak, Steve Aoki’s record label, just recently had their 15th anniversary and they’ve been celebrating it right. Just off their recent releases of ‘Stomp’, ‘Drop’, and the NEW NOISE VOLUME 1, Aoki just can’t be stopped. Aoki’s got some big stuff brewing up including his own new tracks and collabs with Afrojack and Tiesto, so be on the look out in the near future.

Klaypex – Loose Dirt EP

What can I say about Klaypex other than I wish I heard about them way sooner. Their new EP Loose Dirt came out a couple weeks ago and it is dirty. The tracks are very diverse within the realm of dubstep and I love the originality. Each song has its unique flavor with hints of all the top dubstep/electro producers in the game to this day. Although there are some obvious influences, Klaypex is able to create their own twist taking these tracks to the next level. I really am digging these guys a lot so keep an eye out they have the ability to be huge.
