Drum & Bass // Drumstep

Here’s a post that I’ve been piecing together for quite some time now. I’m a drum and bass fan, but I feel like it can be difficult to find tracks that I really dig. I’ve handpicked some of my favorite recent tracks by some of DnB’s heavy hitters including Sub Focus, TC, Nero, Camo & Crooked, Jakes, Loadstar, Delta Heavy & Mind Vortex. Sub Focus’ new track “Out of the Blue” with Alice Gold is a highly anticipated track and an excellent one as well. Delta Heavy’s remix of “Flesh & Bone” is the follow-up for their remix of “Must Be The Feeling” that we have been waiting for. TC has two really sick new productions out that I’ve included as well. Also got a sick Loadstar remix in there, I saw him live and it was absolutely wild. Enjoy.

Alex Sayz ft Nadia Ali – Free To Go (Remixes)

It’s apparently impossible to make this song sound bad. We’ve previously posted the Andy Harding remix for his artist post, check it out, and now we have to fresh official remixes. The first one being an epic Tech House jam by Stefano Noferini. Using the vocals differently than the rest this one rises above with uniqueness. I love the mellow, yet upbeat, bassline that makes you feel like your driving around slowly in fast forward, if that made any sense. Great tune and not to be missed, but the same could be said about the John de Sohn remix, but not me. It’s a constant build of hectic acidy synths and frantic melody. Not my favorite by John de Sohn, but definitely still decent. The unofficial remixes are good listens if you missed them.

Marco V – Analogital (Remixes)

Would’ve posted this sooner, but I couldn’t find all the mp3′s. Glad to get this out now as “Analogital” has some amazing remixes. The official remix package includes remixes by First State, Hard Rock Sofa, and Bassjackers plus one I threw in that added a little big room house funk. The highest rated remix would probably be by Hard Rock Sofa, but in my opinion the First State remix is the best. I’m not gonna say Bassjackers did a poor job, but I expected better out of them as they have made some killer remixes. I mean they all can’t be winners, right?

DubVision – All By Myself (Original Mix)

Progressive gem if I ever heard one. DubVision releases one of the best progressive house tracks I’ve heard all year. Released on the profound record label, Sppinnin’, “All By Myself” will take you through plenty of emotions ranging from bliss, sadness, loneliness, and pure utter accomplishment. I first fell in love with the girls vocals over the soul soothing piano, and then you realize what the feeling of accomplishment comes from. Great track so don’t miss it.

Today’s Releases

Some BIG releases today from the likes of Tristan Garner, John Dahlback, and Kill The Noise & Datsik. I’ve been waiting on the release of Tristan Garner’s “Punx” and John Dahlback’s “Life” for a while now, but it wasn’t until today that I came across Kill The Noise & Datsik’s incredible new release on OWSLA called “Lightspeed.” Hardest decision I had to make was which of the three track’s artwork to use for this post. Some fire new tracks in here, don’t miss out on them.

Sabi – Wild Heart (Zeds Dead Remix) [Release]

We got a preview of this back in September, but Zed’s Dead have finally decided to give it out on their Soundcloud for free. They’re currently on their Living Dead Tour and are making stops around North/South Carolina in March, so if you’re in the area, check to see if they’re coming to a city near you. I think whompinbeat5 put it best when we previewed this track last September, “I really dig the girls vocals and then, ‘whoop’, they drop some massive bass to make me smile once again.” I also added another free track that they are giving away on Annie Mac’s Soundcloud. A remix of The Roots, now thats something interesting.
